In 1994
Toriyama, Toshiko launched Kenji-no Gakko.

In June,1995
we moved our office from Nakano to Mitaka. In September, we started a school for young people. We also had seminars for young people, adults and parents from all over Japan.

In 1997
we moved our office and school to Tachikawa-city, in the west of Tokyo, and opened the elementary course. We invited veteran Waldorf teachers from Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Vogl, who were eurthythmists in Germany, assisted us.

In 1998
we opened the kindergarten and junior high school.

In 2001
we developed a long- term plan for our school, including the upper school classes. We began to send our teachers to the Waldorf teacher-training course in Germany.

In 2002
we closed the classes for young people, adults and parents.

In 2003
our school was authorized as a Waldorf school. In September, we sent 23 teachers to the one-year teacher-training course in Nuremberg.

In January, 2004
we moved to the present site next to the Tama River in Tachikawa.

In September, 2008
the total number of our children, including kindergarten, was 198.
